Parted Magic

Parted Magic - пакет утилит для работы с разделами жесткого диска на базе загрузочного CD Linux. Позволяет производить различные операции над разделами и поддерживает большое количество файловых систем.

В состав Parted Magic входят следующие программы:

  • GParted - редактор разделов
  • Partition Image - инструмент для работы с образами дисков
  • TestDisk - инструмент для восстановления загрузочных записей
  • fdisk, sfdisk - редакторы таблицы разделов
  • dosfstools - утилита для создания и проверки целостности разделов FAT
  • ntfsprogs - инструмент для работы с разделами NTFS
Parted Magic

Всего в состав Parted Magic входят 70 различных утилит для проверки состояния дисков, мониторинга, копирования, архивации данных. Поддерживаются файловые системы ext2, ext3, ext4, fat16, fat32, hfs, hfs+, jfs, linux-swap, ntfs, xfs, reiserfs, reiser4. Загрузка Parted Magic может осуществляться с CD, USB-диска или по сети.

Что нового в версии 2012.07.28:

  • Fixed notification daemon. This is probably the next release, so please test it before I upload it to the SF mirrors tomorrow.
  • Updated xfce4-screenshooter-1.8.1, xfburn-git from 07/26/2012. Created a big mess removing HAL. Spent most of yesterday and today fixing stuff.
  • Updated spacefm-0.7.10, udevil-0.3.1, linux-3.4.6, iptables-1.4.14. Fixed “cryptsetup luksOpen” bug. SVG icons now look like they are supposed to. Added LOG support to iptables kernel driver.
  • Updated vte-0.28.2. Removed lxterminal and replaced it with roxterm-2.6.5. Atl+ keys now works in X terminals again. Enabled the ftp, nfs, smb, and ssh URLs in SpaceFM (udevil). More udev rule improvements. Other small bug fixes.
  • Updated spacefm-0.7.9, udevil-0.3.0. Added nfs4 support to mount.nfs. mount.nfs4 is a symbolic link to mount.nfs.
  • Updated newt-0.52.14, slang2-2.2.4. Fixed Russian translation issue which caused Clonezilla to display garbled output. File Roller can extract the Parted Magic ISO again.
  • Some more zap-mbr fixes and some added () to a couple of the desktop files.
  • More bug fixes. pyneighborhood works now. Found missing icons for screen-shooter. Uploaded more source for last big update (still not done though). Parted Magic now supports frugal installs for Linux RAID (/dev/md*).
  • 101 little fixes caused by the massive amount of package updates. Some of Parted Magic's programs were so old, they don't even function the same now. It caused a lot of things to break. On a side note, I don't think Parted Magic mdraid support at boot has been better. I'm moving on to device mapper tomorrow. I think Parted Magic is almost a 100% up to date Linux system now.
  • Fixed LVM hang at boot and TrueCrypt hang. Added carl9170-1.fw. Updated openssl-1.0.1c, cryptsetup-1.4.3, dbus-1.4.20, LVM2.2.02.96, mdadm-3.2.5, util-linux-2.21.2, atk-2.4.0, dbus-glib-0.98, gdk-pixbuf-2.26.1, glib-2.32.3, gtk+-2.24.10, libnotify-0.7.5, pango-1.30.1, bind-9.9.1-P1, curl-7.26.0, elinks-0.11.7, lftp-4.3.8, nmap-6.01, ntp-4.2.6p5, openldap-2.4.31, openssh-6.0p1, gftp-2.0.19. Removed: gnome-ppp, wvstreams, wvdial, zfs-fuse, rtorrent, libtorrent. These programs were removed because they will no longer compile. As soon as I can get them to compile, they will be returned. Most of the above programs needed to be recompiled against the new major version number of openssl-1.0.1c.
